JUNE 2009: “U Can't Touch This!”
(NOTE: Newcomers, who'd like to get an idea of what this site is all about, would be well-advised to click on "2005 Pages" and read that introduction. Enjoy!)
And believe me, you wouldn't want to. Hell, even I don't want to...
What you can touch is your mouse button by way of enjoying our latest galleries. There are only two, although each has several images. Actually, I was going to wait another month to issue an update, but an event took place that dumped another pile of digital images in my lap. So, here we go again.
Before the event horizon, however, what about some family photos in and around Casa Ingaso? They're only an eclectic batch of unrelated subjects with no common thread, other than their nexus with Ingaso—the best I could do on short notice. Like I said, I wasn't prepared to circulate another update, plus all my biorhythms are down!
So, "Excuuuuuuuuuse me!"
All righty then. When you're ready, just click on the pretty sunset and prepare for several minutes of distractions and distortions—Hey, it's not as if I cater to the truth. Also, as per usual, when you click on through the gallery, you'll be transported right back here.
Oh, even though it's mentioned in the gallery, be forewarned that TC's camera is having some focusing problems. So, if some of the photos look a little soft, you'll know why. Photoshop can only do so much; and the secret to Photoshopping is to be undetectable, like the photo of Bobo and Mama-jama at the beach.
I was surprised that Val, the photographer, didn't notice, or else didn't inform me that she was aware of tampering. But, her shot of the two dogs cavorting on the shore chopped-off one of Bobo's front paws. So, I put it back, just for the heck of it. You can see the original photo HERE, and the Photoshopped image HERE (close the windows to come back).
The event that brought about this premature delivery was our anniversary. For some time, TC and I had been "planning" (read, discussing) a trip to the Galapagos Islands to celebrate our time together, but finances and investments being what they are, we decided a nice dinner with friends would do just fine. And believe me, I think we enjoyed our dinner more because it was another of those magical nights immune to improvement. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
At any rate, this gallery contains photographs by five separate shooters, but rather than create five galleries, I combined them all chronologically, mas o menos. So, if you want to discover who took a particular shot, look for their name embedded in a somewhat cryptic line at the top of each page, e.g., "01peter_17." Names embedded will be either brian, nancy, peter, or tc_and_bob (I couldn't tell which one of us shot every image, so I made us one entity...and rightly so).
Anyone who's been to La Casa de Lourdes knows the quality of their cuisine, but we also discovered the quality of their service and amenities. They allowed us to congregate in the foyer for drinks and hors d'oeuvres, before we adjourned to the banquet room for dinner. Seeing as it was a Tuesday night, we basically had the restaurant to ourselves, so the service was truly excellent, our enjoyment due in no small part to our wait staff. All in all, another rousing recommendation for Lourdes!
I don't think there needs be any further explanations, so that means it's time for you to go to work. (If you're like me, clicking links is about all the exercise you get these days. Ain't the cyber-age great?)
"What are you waitin' for? Click away, ol' pal..."
And that's all she wrote, folks. I hope you enjoyed our silliness, and we'll catch you the next time there's enough photos to make another one of these worthwhile.
“¡Hasta luego, Amigos!”
