It's strange how some plants just go to town the minute you stick them in the ground, while others take longer than a teenager in a bathroom. Case in point: these day lilies, planted down near the lawn, hadn't produced a blossom in years. So, you can imagine TC's unbridled glee when she discovered this first one. (It seems to be the year of the day lily, as the row out by the drive also decided to bloom.)
