In the wilderness, on the other side of the mountain, we saw these two young birds but didn't have a clue as to what they were. Subsequently, however, our friend, Alfred, told us they were Bat Falcons, and are very rare. (Golly, and we didn't even know; at least I took one picture.) At any rate, the falcons just sat there and sized us up, whether as threat or lunch, I can't say. But, I guess not lunch, since we don't look like bats; I wish those birds would come over to our house, though, and eat the bats that keep spraying poop all over our walls and terrace...
