Another one of the reasons TC picked the time of year that she did is the Bard on the Beach performances. As their web site says: Bard on the Beach is one of Canada's largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festivals. Presented on the waterfront in Vancouver's Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two tents from June through September.
